Mercy Hands has a team of engineers who are highly experienced in Emergency Humanitarian Response and WASH projects. All our WATSAN activities are implemented through our Emergency Response Department, which is the largest programs department within Mercy Hands. The Director of Emergency Response Department is Engineer Mohamad A. Fadhil.

Follows are examples of our WATSAN activities:

In 2005 and in partnership with IOM, Mercy Hands installed a Water and Sanitation System at Gumaira IDP Compound located in the rural areas of Al-Rashdiya District, Baghdad Governorate.

In 2008, also funded by IOM, Mercy Hands implemented a WATSAN project in Babil and Muthana Governorates. The project included  supplying and installing water pipes in Jasman Neighborhood (Babil) and Al-Badu Neighborhood (Muthana)
