Education: Master of Public Health majoring in Epidemiology, from University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma, USA; International Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance from Fordham University in New York, USA; Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery from Al-Nahrain Univeristy, College of Medicine, in Baghdad, Iraq.

Dr. Khaldoon Al-Moosawi is the Founder and Executive Director of Mercy Hands. A few years after graduating from Al-Nahrain College of Medicine in Baghdad, he joined Premiere Urgence – Iraq Mission/ IDP Program team, and then in 2004 founded Mercy Hands. In addition to being the Founder of Mercy Hands, Khaldoon is also the founder of the PACT (Peace Activation and Conflict Transformation) Center and Iraqi Telemedicine Center; both are affiliated with Mercy Hands. Dr. Al-Moosawi is currently completing a sleep study fellowship in the United States, but remains active in the daily work of Mercy Hands.
