Bethany Eigenfeld

Executive advisor for upcoming MH program into Syria and interim program manager for the new legal aid program with UNHCR.  (Departments are Emergency Response and Legal Assistance and Advocacy)

I have a BA in Islamic Studies from DePaul University and a MA in Food Studies (Food Security and Sustainable Food Systems with a concentration in Humanitarian Development) from The American University of Rome.

I have worked as an intern at the UN World Food Programme for six months and have come directly to MH from there. This is therefore my first year in the humanitarian field. With WFP I worked on market and trader assessments for food security.

I have trained in disaster relief, peace-building, food aid, emergency livelihoods and emergency medicine.
