Needs & Population Monitoring

Mercy Hands has 13 years experience in conducting assessments and monitoring of populations, and has well designed tools and procedures for assessment and monitoring.

Currently, Mercy Hands regularly conducts monitoring and assessment as part of its WFP food rations distribution projects in Baghdad, Ninewah, Salah Al Din, and Karbala. Mercy Hands currently has over 150 field monitors in the 4 governorates.

In the past, Mercy Hands implemented 17 projects dedicated mainly for population assessments and monitoring, 3 of those projects were funded by UNESCO, 4 projects funded by UNHCR, and 10 were implemented with IOM.
